Legally, the advent of the Internet preceded the beginning of the Internet. The Internet began around 1960 with the name ARPANet. Its purpose was to provide a rapid response to the organization of data and the use of computer equipment. At that time, the U.S. Advanced Research Agency was able to successfully establish the first connection between two computers, which were then used by the government and the university. Years later, British scientist Tim Berners-Lee created in the 1990s the World Wide Web, known as the web, which is a way of transferring hypertext to the Internet.

The history of the World Wide Web (www) takes us to CERN, a scientific laboratory funded by the European Union for the development of scientific innovations located in Switzerland. The www had already existed since 1954 when 12 European countries collaborated in its creation, but it was largely restricted to universities and other state institutions.
Everything changed in 1989 when the Englishman Tim Berners-Lee, with the help of the Belgian Robert Cailliau, published a formal proposal based on linking information stored in different computers. Nobody quite understood what Berners-Lee wanted to propose, since the Internet at that time had other protocols and standards. Then he came up with the idea of putting CERN’s phone book on the web, which allowed us to obtain a phone number by typing the name of the person we wanted to call. This surprised his colleagues. The first web page created by Berners-Lee is just one example of how information can be collected.
Web Languages
HTML, which stands for HyperText Markup Language, is a standard code defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) that defines a basic structure and content of a web page, such as text, images, videos, etc. It is the most important web language and its invention was key to the World Wide Web. To add an external element such as a photo to a web page, it does not have to be embedded directly into the page code, but its location is referenced by a text called a “tag”. Thus, the web page contains only text, and it is the web browser that interprets the code, joins the elements together, and displays them on the final page.
CSS determines how the HTML elements of a website should appear and designs its content (fonts, colors, etc.) so that it can be seen by the user. Finally, JavaScript is used to gain more power and complexity. It provides dynamic interaction and is responsible for actions such as checkboxes and calls to action.
